Electrical repairs & new installation for our residential clients We regularly carry out electrical inspections and make safety improvements to homes, once completed we provide certificates for all of our work.

Many of our residential customers also rely on us to advise and make recommendations, this is something we enjoy at First Light, we design garden lighting layouts and advise on fittings, If a new kitchen is being installed we often advise on lighting design or suggest highlighting an attractive feature. Working in this environment for so many years has given us a great understanding of our customers needs and an in-depth knowledge of the materials available helps us give them quality advise.

Our domestic projects can be very rewarding, a home is very important to customers, by using professional installation methods and quality materials we ensure they get the installation they deserve.

We work with landscape gardeners following drawings to provide part of an overall design, if a domestic customer comes to us direct we are happy to talk through ideas and design an installation to fit the space ourselves. Extensions to make way for large open plan kitchens are a common theme in todays domestic work, these

are a great opportunity for us to show off our skills,

different lighting and control options can make a real impression, low level lighting for relaxing in the evening and high task lighting for cooking and work activities, spaces can be segregated using lighting options, we enjoy making suggestions and seeing them come together in the final stages of a project.

We provide Electrical Safety Reports

An important part of domestic work is electrical safety inspections, we carry out EICRs (Electrical installation condition reports) also known as fixed wire testing or periodic inspections. Following electrical inspections we provide reports detailing any items of concern, we grade these items to give an idea of severity. Condition reports are used by people buying a new home, its a good way of finding out about any issues before buying, or getting peace of mind before you exchange on a house, you would be amazed at what we have found over the years, left by DIY enthusiasts.
